Within the next few days, we plan to release a completely redesigned version of the FacePress plugin. This will not be an upgrade, but a new plugin which we are calling FacePress II.

FacePress II will use a different and more robust method to update Facebook profiles / pages. Furthermore, the initial release of FacePress II will offer additional functionality.

When we release FacePress II, we will also update FacePress (I) which will include messages reminding our users to deactivate FacePress (I) and install and activate FacePress II.

FacePress II will use different options settings so you will need to set those again.

Alan, this is truly an awesome plugin! I have a unique setup though. I have several smaller blogs, which I sort of aggregate posts from, into my "main" blog, using a Wordpress plugin.

The posts all come in as 'Pending Review' (not 'Published'), so I usually bulk publish several new posts at a time. Any way I can tweak the plugin to pick those posts up and send them to Facebook like it would a regularly published post? I'm fairly well versed in PHP, just not sure where to begin with this one!

Thanks for your time, and a great plugin!

Take care,
-Niko

I am still having issues with it using the incorrect user's face book settings. I have 3 users (one is the unused admin account) and posts from either of the 2 users always get posted to just one user's facebook account.

I thought (being a programmer) that it might be related to not having any facebook settings filled in for the admin user (making the settings array shorter and off by one etc), but now I have remedied that and the problem continues. I am going to look through the code where it grabs user preferences and try to see what might be causing it.

Thanks for the comments. If you're having problems with the Facepress plugin, please check the following:

1) With newer versions of WordPress, Facepress requires php 5.

2) Please check your Facebook Settings/Application Settings and ensure that “Mobile” is Authorized and Allowed to Post.

If these two steps do not correct the problem, please let me know.

Can't get this thing going. Installed, activated, gave it my FB user & pass, checked the box for post to profile & then published a new post.

No error messages or signs of life, and no update on my FB profile.

hi,
great plugin. does the present version require php 5? we are using php 4 on www.forthree.com and are getting the following error after publishing a post:

of course your plugin works since we are getting the posts on our FB page.

another question: if we post a new link, is it also possible to publish it to a FB page?

thanks for your help!

I have a WP site with 3 users (admin, jack (also an admin) and chrystal (an editor) ). jack and chrystal have their respective (seperate) facebook settings configured. But when I post from jack it is definitely posting to chrystals's fackbook account. Is there a possible bug here?
